CANGYM Badge & Levels at OGC

CanGym is a highly regarded gymnastics program with a structured, 12-level curriculum. Skills must be learned in a specific order, regardless of age, in order to progress to the next level. Each child is evaluated on their performance on all apparatuses and on overall fitness. At the end of each session, a certificate is awarded to each child indicating the badge they have achieved. To qualify for a badge, the child must master all of the skills required for that level. The program is designed to ensure a clear progression from one badge to the next, with carefully selected skills to help children advance through the different colored badges.

Prior to registration, Athletes receive a Progress Report indicating the recommended class level. At the end of the session, coaches provide a Report Card to each athlete, reflecting their progress in the three areas and overall ability. OGC Gymnasts must complete each Badge before moving on to the next Level. This requires mastering each skill and receiving a passing grade.
