OGC Volunteer Appreciation Week

Since its establishment in 1981, the Okanagan Gymnastics Centre has strived to provide excellent gymnastics training and has hosted several in-person and virtual gymnastics competitions. At the core of the competitions’ success is our parent volunteers' commitment and assistance. We value every hour our volunteers give us which results in less costs to our operations, classes and training fees. April 4th to April 8th marked the first volunteer appreciation week of this year.

During that week we celebrated our OGC Volunteers for their valuable contributions in the past year such as the beautiful artwork on the gym wall, planter boxes in our backyard, assistance with our virtual competitions as well as Cobweb Invitational, washing sticky fingers off the glass windows and mirrors, taking our bottle drive collection to the recycling depot, re-organizing our trampoline storage area, cleaning out our foam pits, and so on.

During the Volunteer appreciation week, the center also hosted a Wine and Cheese Night for parents who were looking to connect with us. A huge thank you to all the parents who attended the event. If you are new to OGC or if you are looking to give back to the community and support a non profit organization, reach out to us at info@okanagangymnastics.com or call us at 250-765-0888.
